I've heard of Convict fry being used as feeder fish, but what about Julidochromis hybrids? I currently have a pair of Julies, one is a Marlieri and one is a Transcriptus, and they spawn about once a month, with a hoard of tiny fry. I've been trying to get a male Marlieri, but I keep mistaking Transcriptus males. My female might be Gombe, so I'd rather keep her until I get a definate ID either way.

I mean as long as the fish are healthy then I'm pretty sure any fish can be a feeder fish.
