what size tank are you planning for breeding? growout? do you have a m/f pair, or are waiting for them to pair up? JDs are not a beginner breeder imo

I've got four waiting for some to pair..it might be awhile because the biggest one is maybe 2" the others around 1"

I've got them all in 55 gallon but this is only temporary looking into getting a 125g soon

the 55 will work for a breeding pair, but you will need another 55 or two for grow-out tanks. i wish you the best of luck though, breeding fish is a great experience :)

My last pair of JDs bred at 2.5" to 3" range. They were about 4 month old. First three batches they ate them. But bred consistently every 6 weeks.
