Greetings .... Since my angels are now spawning etc... i am wondering if a piece of glass will suffice for a surface to breed on or what is the best material to use. I can get a variety of materials very easily. I was thinking glass because it is a great conductor of heat. Anyways, please post what you think is the best.

Glass will work, but better would be a bit of slate (from Burnco or some such) or a tall terracotta pot, too.

Opaque and with some surface texture.

Slate is ideal because it is so easily removed. Also, you can set it in any place you like. I'm using terra cotta flower pots for my discus.
