Malawi

I have a 37 gallon tank with very good filtration and I was wondering if i could make it a malawi cichlid tank, and if so how many could I have?

I wouldn't do cichlids. Why not do a nice planted tank with a pair of angels?

Depends entirely on what from malawi youd like to do. Angels ARE cichlids too.

Also I have been told that a 37 gallon tank is not enough for an angelfish.

I breed both malawi cichlids and angelfish. Just offering my thoughts.

I saw that and I disagree with those multiple people. A 37 should be fine for a compatible pair.

1 angel and a school of peaceful tetras with some corries for the bottom should be fine IMO.

I believe that might work. I dont know much abt the rainbow, but they are peaceful, vegi heavy eaters. Very pretty also.

I would drop the rainbow due to the foot print of the tank.

That should be fine with the angelfish and pair of Rams. Larger rainbowfish should be in tanks of 50 gallons +, depending on their size. Smaller rainbows should be avoided with the angelfish as well. Maybe a school of Black Phantom Tetras would mix in well with the angelfish and pair of Rams.
