Tank mates for cichlids.

I was thinking about adding a school of tiger barbs to my cichlid tank to keep aggression down. I have 10 cichlids and 2 plecos in a 125g. Is this a bad idea?

Thinking of using them as dither fish? IDK, the tiger barbs can be little so and so's unless in a decent school to squabble in. Don't think they would bother cichlids but they are a forward lot.

Depending on what type of Africans you keep, Tiger Barbs might last for a while. Sooner or later the Tigers likely will get beat up and die.

Go with a fairly large tetra school. I've had luck with this and cichlids.
