What to do when ammonia is high

I tested the ammonia in my tank and it was high does anyone no how to fix that

Do an immediate partial water change and keep doing them until your ammonia is less than .25ppm

PWC's. Depending on what 'high' is, anywhere from 50-75% as needed to keep it below .25ppm until the tank cycles
