So I have had my biocube up for a few months now with stock lighting and I just got a 150w coralife hqi light with. 14k bulb. I have 1 clown 1 chromis crabs snails, a maxima clam that's almost 2" a open brain frog spawn Xenia zoas mushrooms and a Georgian. I have had no problems yet other than maybe the bulbs I was looking at getting a 20k what do you guys think also maybe another black clown and small clam. Also I only dose with brightwell products and I am always experimenting so if you guys have any ideas I'd love to try them thanks!!

Looks pretty good! Nice and clean! LOL Pretty clam too.

I've seen most people who upgrade to MH on their cubes go with the 20k bulbs. Just what I've read though, I havent taken that plunge myself LOL

Well most of my corals are from shallow waters so you need a more white light to mimic the sun light which I believe is about 6500k could be wrong. Any ways its my understanding that if your corals are found in deeper waters the darker or bluer the light. How ever I was thinking about trying a 15k it will add a bit more blue and make the colors pop but I am trying to go for a much more natural reef not one full of my plastic pieces than corals you know lol any ways thx for post I get a lot of compliments but for some reason I can't get the aquascape right lol

go with a phoenix 14k i just bought one and it is a perfect shade of blue and white ....i also have a 150 hqi.......

I was looking at a radium bulb on Marie depot also I think I may try a 15k but I still have about 7 months left on my curent bulbs so there a lot of time I have to look around but you should post some pics when ur light is fully on

It's a corallife 150w hqi you can find online I think they are 299 for everything I paid 140 for it used from a buddy
