Khuligirl's 20 long nano reef build
I know the hectors probably wasn't the best idea in my new tank, but we got him in an order at work and i just knew that he was going to die in our stock tanks. He seems to be doing well so far, picking pods off the glass and cleaning little pieces of sand one by one.
Both of them stayed in the bag from the supplier straight up until I added them to my tank because I bought them immediately, so I think that really reduced stress of being acclimated twice, chased and caught in a net.
Ok I just placed my order on Amazon for Revive and some CoralFrenzy

Ok it's been about 3 hours and mostly everything looks back to normal.

This Sunny D finally opened up that one polyp that wouldn't open- a big worm came out of it.
This guy still doesn't look too good though. During the dip some of the polyps would not close no matter how much I agitated them, and the center of some of the polyps puffed up like a bubble.

Khuligirl's 20 long nano reef build
Ok, so today at work I spotted a teeny tiny Rose BTA that has popped up in one of our stock tanks. Must be less than 1/2" in diameter. It probably won't last long in our stock tanks just from being over looked and other employees being careless and smashing it. I know my tank is new but I think it might have a better shot there than at work (and its sooo cute). What do you guys think?

Always heard that any anemone needs very stable conditions and an established tank... I found out the hard way with a pink tip. Isnt the most reef safe, so I wasnt that bummed anyway. A rose BTA is a thing of beauty. IMO, only do it if you are really sure you can keep it alive.

Khuligirl's 20 long nano reef build
Well it's about the size of a dime Matty.. Not sure that'd crash the tank.
Ok I'll wait, thanks guys
Tank is doing well, just did a water change tonight, nitrates are staying at zero. My zoas are covering their frag plugs quickly, my acan is always hungry, and my montis don't look like they're dying haha
The fish are becoming more and more outgoing. My yellow rose goby now frequently comes out of his burrow to keep an eye on me and grab bits of food, and my hectors is always out and about getting algae off the rocks. I read online that some people had good luck with getting their hectors to eat nori wrapped around a rigid airline tube. So I tried it wrapped around a small stone, but still after 48 hours he hasn't touched it. What I have noticed he likes to do a lot is pick up mouthfuls of sand and filter through them spitting them out his gills like a diamond goby. It does look like his stomach is a little sunken in, but not horribly.
