It's because they're cold water species, right? I guess that would make sense why I found them all over the Ireland coast this summer!

Milles are pretty easy as far as acros go. Just lots of random flow and high light

I'm very frustrated :( it seems like no matter what I do my light is too strong. It's hung about 18" above my tank and is turned down as low as possible (about 10%) but I can't get my mind trick to put out its polyps anymore and it still looks bleached. I moved it to a shady spot and am hoping for the best.

Here's one of my new corals, can anyone ID it? A type of paly?

And my new favia. Looks like some of the tissue has died off already:/ maybe from shipping?

I'd bet it's a flow issue rather than light. Try moving it to a little lower flow area

The mind trick? That kinda narrows down my options to underneath a rock lol

Yeah. My sps don't put their polyps out if they aren't happy flow wise. Lighting would tick them off but they'd most likely start bleaching due to to much.

I shouldn't have gotten sps so early :( they really are picky.

Nah they aren't to bad. It still has good color right? Just give it time. If it starts losing color then I'd worry

It still has color, but the color looks duller and less shimmery. And places where it used to be green, it's turned purple.

Update!
Green clown goby fattening and coloring up and becoming more bold :)

Hectors goby looking skinny but still finding algae to eat here and there off the rocks because I see him pooping. I've tried nori on a rock, and cyclopeze put he doesn't react much to anything I put in. The bicolor blenny on the other hand is a big pig and feasts on EVERYTHING. If I put in enough food to make sure the clown gobies get some, he is so full it looks like he has some combination of a pot belly and a 6 pack. Target feeding doesn't make a difference. He finds a way.
This is my newest lil guy:)

All my corals are doing great (except for the mind trick.. I've put it in the shade but it's starting to lose color now so I'm starting to think its a lost cause :/)
My one polyp of eagle eye is starting to make polyp #2.
My sunny Ds have made 2 new polyps since getting them
My acan seems to be growing a webbing between the polyps and the soft part of the body extending farther down the side of the skeleton into a lump.. Which I'm guessing is its way of growing?
And found my first stomatella today, a welcome hitch hiker :)

It hasn't changed since the last one haha. But I'll try to post one tomorrow, I'm thinking about redoing my left pile of rocks to make an arch.

Ok I know it doesn't look like much, but I spent about an hour changing my left rock pile and adding a background today. I like it a lot better, what do you guys think?
