Complete newb here to aquariums period any info is welcomed feel free to share pics and advise please I believe my tanks about 4 gals 1 week old and just got my first clown fish today

Is the tank cycled? And I believe that is too small for a clownfish.
 
Is that to small? (story of my life just kidding)

Yep, unfortunately 4g is too small for a Clown. You could all all sorts of corals and shrimp. You could even add a Clown Goby! :)
 
Well I am going to start talking my wife into a larger tank what minimum size is recommended for him also I have pellets to feed him how much how often sorry total newb here
 
A 10 gallon would be the absolute minimum for one clownfish. If you want a pair, it's best to get a 20 gallon. It's definitely better to go bigger though; they are more forgiving with user errors.

I feed twice a day, no more than the fish eats within a few minutes.
