funk, sounds good. It won't be instantly cycled, but it won't take long with liverock and a scoop of livesand. Filtration sounds good.
hc, no, corals don't have blood and organs. They have a gastrovascular cavity and survive off of photosynthetic dinoflagelattes called Zooxanthellae. That's why light is important for them. There is a symbiotic relationship between the two, meaning that the coral provides a place for the zooxanthellae to live and grow, and in turn the coral gets it's energy from the zooxanthellea. Some coral that don't have zooxanthellea need feedings to survive. Most all corals will accept food as a supplement. All corals take stuff from the water column, like food and small little particles.
