I just got my brain coral from liveaquaria earlier this morning and i drip acclimated it...after having it in there for about 4 hours, i turned on the lights. The lights have been on for about an hour and now it appears the brain coral is letting some white substance out, when looking at it, it sorta looks like its smoking or its the appearance it gives. dunno whats wrong, or is it normal which i doubt...

Looks like it may be expelling wastes. I don't have experience with brain corals but it may also be spawning.

alright, its stopped now but it was weird to see it was like it was on fire haha. ill wait to see what anyone else has to say. thanks

Mine did that when I got it also. I just believe like fluff said its just expelling waste after the long trip.
