Bristleworm stings fish

Hi Wondering if anyone has had a fish "stung" by a bristle worm, I think it was accidental but my Midas blenny is not well when I look at him he seems to have the "hairs" stuck across his back, is there any way to remove these.???

All the methods I know to remove the bristles from a human would not work on a fish.
