Does dosing Alky change the magnesium level? I set the dos for 5ml a day yesterday & today found my magnesium went up from from 1410 to 1440. My Alky maintained 8.6

Dosing alk shouldn’t raise mag. How big is the tank? What test kits are you using?

Honestly I’d say this is probably just user error. Mag doesn’t go up easily without pouring a ton of it into the tank and dosing alk can’t really affect it.

Appreciate your thoughts. Must be right. Just checked again & its 1425. I added a second fan to the tank yesterday which may of caused something. Who knows. My PH finally went from in the 7’s to 8.1 today. Think the new fan may of been the cause. I’m really trying to test everyday lately because I don’t like losing expensive frags.
