Green Algea Good or Bad?

I was wondering if green algea is good or bad because I have a lot of it on the rock,wall, and some in the sand. Also on my back wall there are a bunch of curly Q white things. What are these? Thanks for the help!

The white things are probably Spirorbis sp. I have a lot of them on the back walls and LR. They supposed to be a sign of a healthy maturing system. Green algae is also a normal occurence. Get yourself some snails and let them take care of it.
