hammer coral question

I've had my hammer for about 6 months it was in my 24 nano under pc lights it got realy.big as in expsanding acting like it was reaching for light it started loosing its color and turning light Brown ..so I stuck it in my 55 under 150 w mh. Been in there two months bright green came back but does not exspand as much as under pc could this be from the higher par lights its under and not needing to reach to the light source as much hears a pic does it loook good to u all

Might be getting too much light. Move it lower or to the sandbed

It looks ok to me. When they expand they expose as much tissue as possible to get more light, which is obviously a result of weak lights. Maybe move him a bit lower, but I'd he starts losing color again, move him back up.
