What is high? Post numbers, please. Also, what test kit are you using?
What's your Ca?

You might want to read this article on methods to solve your problem.

Do the instructions give you any number ranges for those 3 areas?

Did you test your Ca? If not, get a test kit and test it before doing anything about your Alk.

You might want to look at the Seachem Multi-kit (pH, alk, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate) or the Salifert kits. Both are considered the better/best kits.

Red Sea test kits are the biggest waste of money. I know because I have one. They are somewhat complicated, and very shady as far as being able to tell clearly what the actual reading is. Especially with the Alk test.

As soon as I get a few extra bucks I'm going to buy a whole new test kit.
