question about turbo snails

I have a couple of questions about turbo snails. Will they eat spinach, zuchinni or romain lettuce as a substitute to algae that grows in marine aquaria? I like them alot and I'm interested in adding a couple of them to my tank in the near future. I just don't think that enough algae can grow in the tank quick enough to keep them from starving and dying prematurly. I just want to give them more to eat so they don't die on me. If they don't eat any of those above mentioned items, what's the best substitute food for turbos? Thanks

snails will race across a tank to eat dry seaweed such as nori. Quite often I find my snails on the clip cleaning up the leftovers that the tangs missed...erm, "race" is used loosely here
