I have a 20 gallon tall planted aquarium. The filter I use I an aqeon 20 and as for my fish stock I have 2 killifish, 2 cory cats, 3 congo tetras and 3 black skirt tetras. I realize that I should have larger schools of all my fish but I'm scared I'm already jam packed :/ what would you guys do?

Any comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I would not add any fish and honestly a 20H isn't suitable for those types of tetra's who need more swimming space. Tanks that are long instead of tall are the best for most tetra species.

I'm thinking of donating the congos to my lfs since I don't really have the money to be upgrading to a bigger tank. I would rather them go to someone who will take care of them correctly. Will taking out the congos give me more room for cories and blackskirts?

Its not so much about the bio load but more about the size of the tank for swimming. The fish you have do better in larger tanks.
