Betta question

Does anyone's else betta jump out the water? Mine aways jumps on top the filter will sit there for a while then jump back into the water, why does he do this? Is there something wrong with his tank environment?

Probably nothing wrong I haven't had fish for awhile but my bettas used to always lay on the plants at the top of the tank

Mine does the same thing. I have a sponge over the filter output and he will shimmy on top of the sponge and just chill for a while.

I would do a water change just to be sure but yeah they are jumpers. Make sure you have a good lid on it, nothing worse than finding a dried up fish on the floor.

My new betta jumped out. Lucky to find him in time. I've had a number of bettas in the past with no jumpers so was surprised. Now have a cover.
