BGK going on vacation help?

Well I'm going on vacation and I don't really have anyone that is willing to feed my BGK because he's very picky and will only hand feed. He never ventures out of his cave from what I've seen. I'm thinking about trying an automatic feeder for my other fish but Idk what I'm going to do with this guy. If he gets hungry enough will he venture out? I'm going to be gone for a week.
