Option 1: Humanly kill them.

Option 2: Feed them to another fish. (My bettas love eating fry)

Option 3: Give them away to your friends and spread the guppy curse.

Option 4: Sell them to a LFS or online.

For option 1 how would it be done
For option 4 how do you convince pet stores to buy your stock

1- I have only done this to euthanize fish.
Step one:
Fill a goldfish bowl halfway with tank water.
Step two:
Add lots of medications to the bowl. Overdose them.
Step three:
Put some ice chips (not a lot) in the bowl.
Step four:
Put the bowl in the freezer. Don't let it freeze. Just make it very very cold.
Step five:
Net the fish and put it in the bowl.

The freezing water will instantly shock the fish. Killing it instantly. There is no pain. And if something goes wrong and it doesn't die. The medicines will quickly kill it. There is no pain.

4- Sell them either for cheap, or sell them as feeders. If your LFS is already stocked with guppies don't sell them there. Look for someplace that wants/needs your fishl or simply sell online.

Thank you and I like your attitude with this , sometimes letting nature go is the best way. Also the thing with online is shipping, I've never shipped

It's one thing to let nature take its course in a tank and not save every fry, but building a tank just to let it pretty much sit and rot/starve is cruel. Or just killing them outright with the icy med bowl, at least freeze them as feeders for someone...

If you're not prepared to deal with fry in my opinion you shouldn't be breeding fish.

I get that, I just think that that kind of situation shouldn't be condoned.

Understood, how do you handle extra fry, I'm probably going to use them for live food or give them out

Trade them for store credit, give them away or trade/sell, and I don't pull fry from the main tank so any sick or unhealthy ones get eaten by the adults.

You just go in, say that you have some fish to sell and the price you want for them. They might say no , they might counter offer. Just realize that your not going to get anything close to what you pay from a pet store for them. You might get around 50 cents a fish. Also you may want to call ahead to ask if they want/ or in need of the fish your selling so your not wasting a trip. A better way to sell fish is on craigslist. For guppies I throw an add up and charge $1 a guppie or make a deal up. For example i might make a deal where if you buy ten guppies you pay $5.
