Dwarf Gourami Tank Setup

I currently have three male dwarf gourami's in a 20g tank and 2 gobies (not sure what kind but theyre super small) the gouramis arent very aggressive towards eachother and dont notice the gobies at all. I was told that i should seperate all the gouramis so they dont end up fighting occasionally ill see one chasing another but sometimes theyll hangout and there wont be any fighting Id like to upgrade my tank to a 55gal.
If I add females to the tank will it help with aggression? Even tho there is very little I know it can get worse and how many could I add in a 55gal?

I would rehome the two other male gouramis. They may not seem agressive now, because they could be still juveniles. But, if they reach full maturity, they could suddenly become aggressive. Females may help, but i'm not sure. Wait for further input.
