Electricity cost in fish tanks

Has anybody ever noticed a big difference in the cost of there electric when acquiring a new aquarium?I have just got a 150 gallon tank with an fx5 filter and to t8 bulbs

Nope. I asked my parents about it when I was a kid and they told me it was barely noticeable. I asked my landlords the same thing the other day (with 3 fishtanks going) and they said the same thing. As long as you're not running crazy high-output lights it's not much.
 
Get one of those device that you plug your stuffs on and it tells you how much you are using, so you are able to approximate how much it cost in the long run.
 
I figured out the electricity cost of a 55g mbuna tank i was caring for when my room mate moved out.. it came out to around $7 a month or so.
