Hi I have the chance to buy a eheim professional 2 2028 external filter. Are these filters good ??? And would it be okay in my 125 litre tank ??

Well, you're laughing then! I'm assuming its second hand, so check that the impeller and motor head seal are intact. Otherwise you'll be up for that much again in replacement parts!

I've been searing around for a decent filter for a while now.

External frees up a lot of space in the tank, I'm gonna go with an All Pond solutions canister next I think ^_^

They're ok/good filters but all the fancy features are pretty much a load of rubbish.

That said for 30 pounds it's still a great deal, on the assumption it comes with filter media.

Yeah it comes with all the media and its only 6 months old the whole filter that is and there selling due to upgrading tank and filter

Well if you don't buy it, you need your head read!!

Even if you need to replace a couple parts it is worth it. I found my U4 didn't do much, and my water parameters were quick high. They work better for a current/water movement.

Don't worry about the carbon sponge just put filter wool or whatever media you like in there.
