filter too strong?

Hi guys,

I made a youtube video about adding a cup/bottle to the filter to help disperse the water and lessen the direct strength of the filter. I know that betta owners have troubles with their being too much water current.

Thank you for sharing this Katie. I have a heavily planted 29g with almost all stem plants. When the ones under the HOB get taller than half way up to the surface, they get buffeted around alot. I have been trying to think of some kind of flow disperser for a while. LOL I never thought about something so simple. You have solved my problem! OS.

I just finished and installed a flow diverter like you showed in this post. I used a clear bottle so you can hardly see it in the tank. WOW! My Aquaclear 50 is no longer bending my beautiful red Ludwigia Glandulosa around. They grow so slow and now that they have finally gotten tall enough they no longer get buffeted around. I've got some really rare plants coming and was worried about the flow on them. Now problem solved. Bless you for sharing. OS.
