How to cure white fungus on driftwood

Hey all,
I added in a new piece of driftwood to my tank and a white film which I believe is a fungus grew all over it after a few days.

Any way to get it off of the driftwood? Its a nice piece, don't wanna lose it.

It's normal. It'll disappear on its own or snails and shrimp will eat it if you have any of those.
