How to Feed snails?

I have 3 olive nerite snails in my 12 gallon tank. There is algae in there for them and they seem to be doing good but I would like to add food for them so I know they're well fed. I have been dropping in algae wafers (breaking them in half and spreading it around), every time the two balloon mollies I have find it in less then a minute. Its so annoying! They're fat and clearly don't need anymore food but they eat the whole thing! Will the snails starve if the algae went away? How can I feed them to make sure they'll get it? and what are some other foods nerites will eat? Will they eat certain veggies?
