Move with Fish??

I'm going to be moving. I really want to take my 10g freshwater tank with me! How do you go about moving a fish tank? What are some good rules or ideas to follow? Not moving far at all but just want to make sure it's a safe move for everyfishy...

The most important thing, I think, is to empty the tank completely. You don't want to get stress fractures from moving it with water or heavy decor/substrate.
