Overcrowded???

I agree. The type of fish would help. We can't give an answer without! There are plecos that get to two feet, and there are plecos that stay around five inches. Knowing what type of pleco could make the difference between crowded and not.

The number or inches of fish in a tank has nothing to do with whether you have a problem. What does is behavior, needs/sensitivities, size of the individuals, and bioload. There are sites like aqadvisor to help check a stocklist for problems, but they miss things like how open/planted fish want their tank or whether between the community they've got sensitivities to all the decently effective fish meds.

2 guppies(1.5 inches each) 1 glofis(1.5)h 2 danio (2.5 inches each) and 3 sharpae tetras(about an inch maybe 1.5 inches) and 1 pleco (3 inches)

If that's a common pleco, it's good that it's still small... easier to take 'em back before they get longer than the care sheet they came with. If it's another kind of pleco it's still a pleco and will churn out waste like nobody's business if properly fed. Unless you really like it and feel that it's worth the extra work, offload the pleco.

The rest of the tank looks slated to have behavior problems so read up on the fish you have and decide what you think the problem is. I might see the problem as some fish being too nippy for the rest of the tank or too likely to reproduce but you might see the problem as some fish being too likely to get nipped... different problems, different solutions. Whatever you do, make sure any schooling fish you keep get enough buddies of their own species to keep them happy. Hope your stocking goes well.
