question about beneficial bacteria

I recently replaced my 10 gal with a 29 gal tank...i had the tank filtered by the Aqua Clear Mini that was in the 10 gal and I just got a new Aqua Clear 50...i have it running with the AC Mini right now...

my question is this...how long should i run both filters so that I get a good amount of beneficial bacteria in the AC50 so i can remove the AC Mini?

i would just leave it there but my girlfriend is taking my 10 gal and i'm giving her the filter with it...

I'd recommend a test kit to take the guess work out of it. When you have Nitrates and no Nitrites or Ammonia, you should be good.

Leave it in there a couple of weeks and you'll be fine, I've done this before and it works great.
