Quick opinions on a possible tank

So i found this 4ft online for $60 here are some pics oh and the thing on the side what is it

It looks to me like an inbuilt sump area?


It'll be a way to have a larger space for filtration without the added clutter in the main tank area.

As for the price, you should look to haggle on it anyways

Hmmm there are multiple ways to set it up.

Ranging from sponges to bio balls etc, its more down to how you want to do it.

Honestly I've not set up a sump in a long time, sorry :c

Well you can get a variety of pumps, depending on the volume of the tank you can get something like this;

Depends on tank volume and stocking firstly.

That's a good start number. But mbuna and Goldies are some messy fish and that may be cutting it close lol.

And yes, I'd prefer to have a sump on all my tanks if I could!

Sumps are very efficient filters. I just don't know if I would have personally sacrificed tank space to put 1 in though

I've seen them acting as a fake back on the tank, never as a side piece though, it is unusual.
