Hi all. I have a 55 gal with 2 grouchy breeding angels, a DG, and 7 neon tetras (the neons and angels have been in my tank for about 1.5 years. The DG is new.). Half the tank is plastic plants and the other half is newly planted. I'm looking for stocking suggestions.

I love Cories and want to try them again. I only recently found out how sensitive they are to Nitrates, hence the plants which are already bringing the Nitrates down.

What else could I add?

Try a larger school (ten) of rummynose tetras.

For cory cats, you could do 6-10

Maybe a couple rams, and a school of hatchet fish.

Great suggestions. Thanks. I am acclimating 3 albino Cories at the moment. I would love to slowly build up to 6-10.

You could add some harlequin rasboras, they are an attractive, active little fish, with a low bioload. I have a school of 15 in my 55, and they have become my favorite fish to watch, my angel is still my favorite overall though :)

I was just looking at those, lol. That may be the next school after the Cories are filled out.
