tropical sump?

does anyone have a sump tank for there tropical/cold tank if so how you getting on with it, what media you have, etc, etc and any pics?

Im building one for my 120g. Im about to drill the back of the tank for some overflows, but feel really nervous about it. If i wuss out, thn i will get it done professionlly. I will post my sump sketches when i get off this ipad. Basically, I have an algae turf scrubber, 5g of pond matrix, and 2L of Purigen. Then there are 2 filter socks (50 microns each).

Filter sock for mechanical filtration.
Algae scrubber and Purigen for chemical filtration.
Pond Matrix for biological filtration.
All inside a 40g. Main tank will have roughly 1400gph, sump will have 30-35gph. Too much flow for any plants in the sump.
