Yes most fish enjoy blanched veg. Zucchini and cucumber is what I feed.

You can feed blanched veg. Zucchini and cucumbers are my plecos favorites.

You cut a slice quarter inch in thickness microwave it in a bowl with some water for 20 seconds and run the slice under cold water. Attache to a veggie clip and put in the tank. No more than 24 hours though.

ok for those of us who think boiling water is a culinary creation, what the heck is blanched?

Its where u drop the veggie into boiling water but only fir like a minute or two

Blanching is cooking or boiling a veggies then doing a rapid cool down in cold or ice water to stop the cooking process. My fish like blanched Zucchini the best and also love cooked, deshelled frozen peas, slightly smushed.
