Where do I find pot scrubbies and cheap substrate?

I know that a lot of monster tank owners use (tons) pot scrubbies for their biological filtration. Where do you get them?

Also, I'm looking for just some natural looking substrate, but don't want to spend the big bucks on it. Something along the lines of small sized dark rocks. No sand (unless its black). Sorry if I'm not making sense..?

a lot of people find them at 99 cent stores.

look for 3m colorquartz for cheap black sand/small pebbles.
