Which of these fish will be happier in a small school?

Both Cardinal Tetras and Lambchop Rasbora are recommended to be in schools of 10 min with the research I've done.
I'm failing to find if people have kept these happy and healthy in smaller schools? I don't have room for 2 schools of 10 each.

I would like to make it one school of 8 and one school of 6, but which will be the happier in a smaller school?
I guess which is more brave in their temperaments and will show playful nature despite being in a small school?

Why not just do two schools of 7?

Far too sensible.
But more that one species may be more communal than the other, making one more important to have a larger school of. If this is not so, well, then, it makes the decision much easier.
