Snail ratio

I want to get some MTS to sift thru my PFS and keep the substrate clean, however I heard they get out I control and breed a lot so in turn I was gonna get assassins to keep them in check. Is there a certain ratio I should stock and would I have to stock the MTS first and let them multiply a bit before I add assassins? I have a 20g long planted tank. Thanks!

I would consider adding a grp of yoyo loaches over the assassin snails. Reason being that the Yoyo's will just keep the MTS population in check. Assassin will destroy it completely.
The answer you question is that assassin's snails will regulate to the available food suppy.
