African Clawed Frog Dropsy??

Hi all,

I am just trying to get to the bottom of this video. Is this dropsy? Seems pretty extreme.

Is this a random video question, or is it your frog?

A friend of mine sent me the video saying that his girlfriend bought it from the market and that it's a new type of amphibian. I think he's full of it. I did some research and think that it's a African Clawed Frog with dropsy but I don't know for sure so thought I would post it here to find out what the heck it is.

So, not really random for me.....maybe for you guys though

It looks like it has bloat can be caused by bacterial infection, often from being in poor water quality.

Best advice it to keep its tank perfect condition water quality, and remove him for feeding to a feeding container to help keep its tank water cleaner. Watch to make sure there is no ammonia in the water.

They probably need 100% water change daily depending on the size tank. If less than 40 liters.
