I have a small sponge which is covered with algae. Ive tried using a spot feeder to try and blow it clear with little success. I also tried brushing it with my finger. My blue leg crabs and snails are ignoring him. Is there another crab I can use to help and which will not go to war with the others and is reef safe? BTW, I have no fish in my tank. Thank you

If ur going to lose the sponge at that point I would frag it or try a peroxide water mix and dip him in it. It will work with a lot of hard corals not so sure about sponges but if it is about to die than why not
