Brown spots

im starting to get little brown spots all over the live rock
none on the sand yet is this a good or bad thing

diatoms. if your tank is new and cycling/just finished a diatom outbreak is almost 100%. Watch your feeding as they feed off of excess nutrients and such. I also cut my lighting down some.
