Hey, I'm just in the process of cycling my first sw 26g tank. I'm looking for opinions on filter options. What I've been reading says I can do weekly water changes and I won't need any other filters? Has anyone done this successfully? Or should I get a protein skimmer, hob, or canister?

I'm only a noob but I would suggest a skimmer...what filter are you using ATM?

You can get away with only water changes on a tank under 30 gallons due to how easy it is to do larger water changes if there is an issue that needs addressed.
I personally think adding filtration like a skimmer and algae turf scrubber makes your life much easier along with a sump to increase the water column. Not always necessary.
