New rockscape for my 135g FOWLR

My current rock scape is getting old. I want something new. I notice some tanks have rocks pushed up against rear glass. Is this ok to do? Here's my current rockscape.

The lfs near mine has there rocks propped up on the tank wall with a bunch of coral . So I think you should be able to do that but you would have to watch out for scratches, cracks and etc

Here's a pic of what I did. The rocks in middle are about 1" off glass. There's a couple touching glass. The outsides are about 3-4" off glass. I h e a ph on each side shooting behind the rocks. I love the new look. There are a lot of caves and hiding spots.
