Power head crust

Can anyone please tell me why my power heads that i use to mix my ro/di water with salt get a white crust on them?

From mixing salt It's normal don't worry

Should i rinse the heads after im done so that will stop and not contaminate my next batch?

Ya you can, I usually clean my mixing ph once every month or 2 or if it stops working. Salt creep will get everywhere in this hobby, and I guess the longer I do this the less it bothers me

Ok all this started once i started to use Ro/Di water. I never had this when i used faucet water. So i am trying to figure all this out
