Since jawfish like to have a hole in sand to hang out in, and Sand-sifting Gobies like to sift through the sand......how do you QT them if your QT tank doesn't have sand in it?

I haven't put any fish in my show tank yet....I'm not there yet, so I could put them in first, and if there is a problem I could take them out without affecting any other fish because there aren't any other fish in the tank yet.

Suggestions appreciated!

They should be ok in PVC elbows, temporarily.

Even though I do agree with this I might think about their stay in the QT to not be as long as other fish. The reason is the the jaw fish live in sand and if your goby is as mine he wont eat prepared foods just what he gets sifting and he might starve if he stays in the QT too long. Saying that I would observe very carefully while he is in the QT so as not to introduce anything to your tank. Be very observant. Good luck with the new additions.
