Revamp reef tank question..

I want to do a few upgrades on a 75gl reef tank but I will need to transfer my corals into a tank that does not have a light that is strong enough for them. How long will I be able to keep everything alive and striving? My tank will be down for maybe 2-4 hrs will I do what I want to it. I'm not worried about the filtration in the time period I am worried about the lightning.

Can you do this work in the evening? Or at least near the end of the day? I would t have thought 4 hours would be that harmful with out light.

Yea I have today and tommarow off finally and I have everything already bought to do it. I guess now my other question is I am looking at the wood base where I would be putting my new sump at and the wood has rolled from the carpet settling .. Wonder how I can flatten it out so the sump will be flat
