20 high ciclid?

Got a new tank gonna set up soon. Want a single small colorful ciclid and a school of something to go along well with it. What is a nice looking small ciclid?

And should I get a top or bottom region school to go along?

I have a 20H to and im planning on butterfly cichlids.... But you could do German Blue/Gold Ram but i think thats about it maybe a few more but i dont really remember

You could do Kribs, Apistos, Rams, or Keyholes. They are all nice community Cichlids.

i highly recommend gbr's as community cichlids. they really are quite sweet and get along with everyone in the tank. you might consider a small school of glo fish. i have them and they get along well with the gbr's and they are colorful as well.

I think kribs look best. I was thinking either glowfish or glolight danios as an active top dweller.

Would one krib be ok by themselves?

A single krib would be fine, actually less trouble (particularly in a small tank) than a pair.
