Cycle Question

I've been cycling for 2 weeks now, my ammonia is steady at 4 ppm 0 nitrites so far...my question...
I've read to have your ammonia 4ppm and no higher or it'll stall the tank, but I've also read to add ammonia daily to the tank...wouldn't the ppm go up if I add ammonia to the tank?
So...add or not to add?

you don't have to add any unless it is going down. And no, it won't necessarily stall things if it does get a little higher than 4ppm, that's just a good target amount deemed by most.
