Will adding a bottle of Tetra Safestart meant for a 70 gallon to a 30 gallon speed up the cycling process?

it won't hurt as Tetra states that you can't overdose with SafeStart. You would be adding more bacteria so it should speed things up a bit however you would still have to wait for the bb to establish itself. if you stock light at first you should be OK.

So long as you read the directions you should be fine. However, make sure you still test daily and do appropriate water changes. Are you doing a fish IN or fish LESS cycle?
