So my tank is ready for fish after its fishless cycle. I've checked Petco and the next nearest couple of fish stores (about 30 mi away) and nobody really has what I'm looking for. They all have similar fish to what I'm looking for, but not the specific species.

They all said they could take order requests for fish, but it would probably take a couple weeks to get them in.

Does anybody have any recommendations for good shops online?

Hi again!

Almost all petcos order direct from segrest and can get pretty much whatever you want. Not all will do special orders though.

For online, aquatic arts is a good one, bobs tropical plants.com(also has fish) is a lot cheaper but his selection is more limited. Another good one is Rachel O'Leary's site, www.msjinkzd.com/ (my favorite of the 3).

Thanks!

Just purchased some fish from Bob's and some shrimp from Aquatic Arts. Thanks for the recommendations!

Yeah I'm ready for fish!

I settled on a stocking plan of two Scarlet Badis, six Galaxy Rasboras, and three Otos. Plus some red, blue, and black shrimp. I also got some easy low-light plants. Java fern/moss, Marimo ball, and Hornwort.

Sounds like a great plan! Can't wait to see what it ends up looking like!

A goldfish or a baby Oscar would do nicely as well! Just kidding:p

Some other good ones are wet spot tropical fish and aquabid.

Yeah I can't wait! I'm going to go get a 12" pleco to put in there until they arrive! =P

Liveaquaria.com is good. I've ordered plants from them and they were definitely high quality. I've never ordered fish but I've heard good things.
